At our heart we are a neighbourhood caf that wants to make a lasting and significant positive impact on its local communities
We have won bucket loads of awards for our ‘Good Day’ programme - our charity and community work. Whether it’s for the thousands of hours volunteering we commit to every year or the workshops and community gatherings we run in our cafs. Not only that, we decided to set up a social action platform to help other businesses do good in their communities too. We called it Good Day Productions. To find out more, keep on reading...
Donating our time is invaluable, but we also pay our staff for volunteering opportunities with charities close to their hearts and local to our cafes.
The Good Day Productions volunteering programme is funded by sales from our Green Is Good juice, as well as profits from sales of our merchandise.
Don't just look good, do good!
We've now taken the ethos behind our volunteering programme and turned it into a platform to help others in the industry do good in their local communities. We've teamed up with others in hospitality to educate, innovate and celebrate ways of supporting marginalised communities through a series of talks, events and workshops. We want to create a community of 'Day Makers'- businesses that share our approach who will create their own good days and make a real difference to society. Every year we run a once-in-a-lifetime charitable adventure where staff are given the opportunity to fundraise for a worthy charity or cause. Previous years have seen us taking on THE BEAST, where 32 of us tackled 5 marathons in 5 days across the Florida Keys. We’ve also run/walked 100km in 1 day in the 2017 South Coast Challenge!
This year we're doing a 170 mile relay race across the southeast of England
